# Exporting Data

Exporting data to different formats

The Movie Maker can export Horus recordings to different formats.\
This process is described below.

* Start the Movie Maker
* Go to File -> Open… and select the recording folder that you want to export.\
  When loaded in, the viewport should show the image of the recording and there should now be a timeline at the bottom.

* If you wish to export the entire recording, go to the next step.\
  In case you only want to export a section of the recording or with specific cameras follow the steps below:

* To choose which cameras to export, un/check the boxes next to the cameras at the bottom left.\

* To select a section to export, use the in/out buttons at the bottom left.\

  To set a zone, first go to the first frame that you want to export, then press the green button. Then go to the last frame and press the red button to set the zone.\
  \
  On the timeline a grey section will appear with the green/red triangles indicating the start/end of the recording. You can drag the triangles to different frames. Multiple zones can be created.\ <br>

  When creating a zone, only the checked cameras will be added to that zone.
* Once the cameras are chosen and/or the zone is set, the frames to export will be shown in the the message section on the left.\

  This will also be shown when you open the Export window as shown in the step below.

If a zone is not set when opening the export window, a zone will be created of the entire recording.

* To export the data, go to Export -> Export… to open the export window.\

* Adjust the following settings:
  * Check the ‘Equirectangle’ box for panoramic images.\
    If left unchecked, separate images per each video stream will be exported.
    * If 'Equirectangle' is checked , set the resolution by entering the following into the ‘Width’ and ‘Height’ fields:
      * Ladybug 5 - 8000 x 4000
      * Ladybug 6 - 12000 x 6000
  * Select the 'Export Type'.\

    With JPEG selected, you can also set the compression with the 'Quality' setting.
  * At the bottom choose the export location.\
    This should be an existing location.
* Press ‘Export’ to start exporting the data.

Once the process is finished, verify that the data has been written to the specified export location.&#x20;
